Here’s a sneak peak on some items I’ve created over the spring-break!
More is coming soon!
If you don’t want to wait for your yarn-tainer to arrive in the mail…or you simply don’t want to spend that much on a container with a hole in it then keep reading …I’m going to help you make your own yarn-tainer!
and there you have it your own Yarn-Tainer!
Today was pretty awesome. Work was great and I met up with Hubby and our cousin Garrett. They decided to go to the yarn store with me 🙂 When I went inside the yarn store “LOOP” I was like a kid in a candy store! And I shop til I dropped! I brought a new crochet hook which I absolutely love! And four balls of sheep yarn! I manage to remember to take pictures before I left the store 🙂
Before we went home we went to a bakery call sweet freedom its “Philadelphia’s first and only completely gluten-free, vegan, allergy-friendly bakery! ” Before you first walk in the door you can smell fresh bake goods! It was awesome.
Since the passing of my son Jadon I found myself looking for more things to honor my son…I came across some sites that have beautiful jewelry to honor the loss of a child due to M/C, SIDS, Stillbirth Infant Loss and etc (I will post the links at the bottom 🙂 ). The owners of some sites Hand-make each item for the Mother/Fathers of Angel Babies and they can make it for other relatives as well. So I thought to myself, before I buy something from a site I want to make something that Honors my child and other children as well 🙂 I went in my living room and found Baby Pink and Blue yarn right next to one another and it’s crazy because that’s the colors of Pregnancy and Infant Loss so I was like okay so I will blend them together and make a Tam.
Then I Finished the Tam and I wanted to make a re-attachable ribbon to go with the hat and I did. And it came out Beautiful.
I put my tears inside this Tam because it remind me of the hat he had on his head when I held him. I loved making it and maybe in the future when I get myself together and work more on my site I will make more for others to help them in remembering the loss of their love ones. Thanks For reading! PEACE, LOVE AND HAPPY CROCHETING!
Today was a great day! I got up and prayed and I also talked to Jadon (up in Baby Heaven) this day was date night. I had to make a couple of stops because I had to get my paperwork ready so I can go back to work. I went to my mother’s house and I ran into a old friend of mines. I talked to my Little sis and then I went back out to meet my mother at her Job. On my way up there I open my book to read the quote of the day and this was really eye opening to me:
I thought about this because the number stood out to me 1 19 11 (Jadon birthday) 12 (the days he was here on earth) and King (part of his last name). See I notice everything but this was really overwhelming for me because when I prayed I ask God a question I asked, “God how will I know when to move?” I feel like I’m standing still and everything is moving so fast and I want to move…..and the answer came to me hours later on the bus ….
11And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
12And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
This made me feel happy because I must stay still until God whisper to me the go ahead. God’s voice wasn’t in the overwhelming tragedies that happen in my life but in that small voice I wasn’t able to hear. So from hear on out I will patiently wait and not force myself into understanding about life’s downfalls but to let it happen and wait for God to whisper in my ear once again :)….
On this day me and the Hubby Got up early because my Dad and his Wife decided to go to Carlos Bakery and New York instead of waiting for Sunday. Sunday was going to rain all day so I was like okay so me and Hubby rushed to get dress…A hour they was knocking at the door. I decided to grab 2 skeins of yarn (Lion Brand Yarn Super Bulky (6) ) One Black and the other was Tan and a N Hook. It was a 3 hour ride from Philadelphia to Hoboken, NJ with traffic and all. I started to crochet a long scarf for myself. I was already done before we arrived! We first stop at a place so we can get a bite to eat.
Once we got back on the rode I started to get car sick…when we arrive all we seen was IRISH PRIDE everywhere I was like they are celebrating waaaaaay to early! We was trying to find parking it was a mad house down Hoboken, NJ and 10mins later…. finally a parking space near the bakery! We put money in the Meter and walked down and then we waited in this long line across the street…so a Hour later we was finally was inside the bakery! It was pack however the workers are truly great at customer service and they were fast! We brought a small cake for our anniversary (March 6) and lobster tails and cupcakes..
But then when we left the Bakery we got stuck because there was a Parade! I was like HUH? However, we got to get a front row simply because our car was right there and I stop and seen this lady who had a table fill with all her Crochet items! It was awesome! I chatted with her and Her name is Anna and I told her I would mention her on here…
We didn’t go to New York due to the parade and traffic at that time and I was tired and we went home …
When we arrived home we try the strawberry short cheesecake and it was okay… the cheesecake was really thick and it felt like it was something missing…the lobster tails was okay and the cupcake tasted like any other cupcake that I could of got at home at one of our Bakeries….overall it was a 8/10…the visual display of the products was pretty. I think I will try to get it order first to see if there’s any difference.
Well thank you for reading and have a bless night!
Hi and Welcome to my site! I’ve decided to do my first blog on the reason why I love to crochet.
I’ve always wanted to learn how to crochet when I was younger. However, I had a busy lifestyle then… I was always on the go and I never was fully committed to learning only because I thought crocheting would take up all of my free time. I’ve always seen elderly people crochet big projects and it seem they was on that project for years (I was only ten back then) so I said forget it. As the years went by and when youtube came into my life…all the free how to videos was right in the palms of my hands so I had no excuses on why I couldn’t learn how to crochet. Mid October I went to Wal-Mart and I brought everything I needed (yarn and hook). And from there it was love at first Slip Stitch and marriage after my first completed project (only crocheters got that part…I hope lol). So since then I’ve completed lots of projects and half a room full of yarn! And years of housework to catch up with lol when I crochet I’m in my zone it’s very relaxing…Learning how to crochet so worth it! To end, the summer of 2010 I’ve started reading patterns more better and I’ve done my own patterns as well…
